Just few days ago, someone suggested me to try new Yahoo. I for the one (don’t know the reason) have always considered Yahoo! as a secondary search option, after all searches fail on Google. But this time Yahoo has really come with a real thunder. The Search Assist feature, new shiny interface are not only cool but highly useful as well. A new buzz word, user intent has already taken over the blogosphere. Its something related to reading user’s mind. :)
Yahoo Search Assist might look somewhat similar to useless ‘Google Suggest’ (not useless to SEOs) at first glance but it actually goes beyond the original word to suggest related topics.
“We know that consumers want a complete answer, not a bunch of links, and the changes we’ve made are focused on getting people to the best answer — whether it be a Web link, photo, video or music clip — in one search,” said Vish Makhijani, general manager and senior vice president of Yahoo! Search.
Too much of theory till now, lets put this with real tests.
